HTC Data Solutions – DARS (Data Archiving and Retrieval System) 

HTC offers a Data Archiving and Retrieval System (DARS) that can be used to store historical data for discharged residents and active resident data that cannot be imported into PCC (i.e., assessments, care plans, progress notes, etc.). 

Health Tech Consulting (HTC) realized the challenges and costs required to archive, store and retrieve resident related EHR historical data – and many post‐acute EHR vendors are taking advantage of LTC owners and operators charging them inflated prices to store resident data for the mandated 5—10 years (depending on CMS and state requirements) for data retention, storage and retrieval of medical records. 

HTC developed a cloud base system in Azure that allows organizations to export and store EHR data from their legacy systems in a catalogued and retrievable PDF format. 

The DARS system is very easy to use, works very similar to a Google Search and provides multiple search options, sorts and filters – and it allows companies to reduce the monthly fees they pay to legacy vendors for ‘maintenance mode/view only capacity’ and permanently sunset their legacy systems.
